چکیده مقاله:
Soil infiltration process is one of the most basic and important parameters in improving the design and management of irrigation systems that accurate estimation will save water consumption in the agricultural sector. In this study, an equation was extracted through the early available soil parameters to estimate the infiltration rate in saline soils without infiltration measurement. For this purpose, the Qazvin Salt Lake District, which has different levels of soil salinity, was selected. After sampling soil from different parts of the region and successive measurements of salinity, eight samples were gathered with salinity levels of 1.04, 2.17, 4.7, 7.27, 8.79, 6.3, 13.87 and 20.88 dS m^(-1), respectively and finally another sample with high salinity as 81.01 dS m^(-1) was selected. The double rings method was used to estimate cumulative infiltration and three replications were performed for each point. Two general equations based on early available soil variables including Sodium adsorption ratio (SAR), geometric mean soil particle diameter (dg), soil geometric standard deviation (σg), Bulk density (ρb) and porosity (n)‏ were used to calculate the Kostiakov-Lewis equation coefficients by using CurveExpert software and transitional functions. A comparison of the results of the derivation equations with the measured infiltration showed R2 of 0.91 and RMSE of 7.67% that is within the acceptable range. Finally, it can be concluded that the obtained equations from the early available soil parameters has properly good estimation of infiltration and its high performance will save time and cost in the complex infiltration measurement processes.
