چکیده مقاله:
oil texture and soil salinity are important soil properties that effect on crop yield. The aim of this study was to simulate the simultaneous effect of these properties on sorghum yield. For this purpose, using land suitability evaluation method the land index that indicates the yield reduction was calculated for two soil texture including clay loam and sandy loam and the Maas and Huffman and Van Genuchten models were fitted to them. Then, yield reduction was simulated for salinity from zero to 30 dS m-1. Results showed that both models had coefficient of determination equal to greater than 0.96. Although in finer-textured soils the relative yield was more than coarser-textured soils but the effect of soil salinity on sorghum yield was more visible in coarser-textured soils. Therefore, in sandy loam texture the salinity tolerance value and slope of reduction yield was obtained more and less than clay loam soil, respectively.
